Pieces of her puzzle...

Have you ever heard that expression, "it takes a village"... to raise a child etc...

This is so true, and it's even more true as it relates to adoption, and funding an adoption.
Many will say, if you can't pay for it, then you shouldn't adopt. I would disagree. As Christians we support missionaries, churches, and other organizations that are doing the work of Jesus. I am not trying to say that us adopting Rose is equivalent to supporting a family doing missions work in Uganda etc. What I am saying, is that adoption is important to God. He demands we care for orphans and widows. "Caring" can look different for everyone. In our case, we have the room in our hearts and home to give a family to a child. There are many who can't do that piece of it, but they can give support.

Although it is very difficult to ask others for financial support, we have seen with our eyes the way that God has blessed this adoption through His people. As you know, we started this process with NO money... We have raised over $16,000 since May. With about $8,000 coming from fundraisers and donations.

So, here we are again. We need $6,000 to be able to accept Rose's referral when it comes. We don't know when that will be exactly, but we want to be able to say "YES!!!" and move toward bringing her home, rather than scrambling to come up with the funds.
As you can see, we have $1,000 in our adoption account... so we really need $5,000

Would you consider being a "piece" of her puzzle?

She is not just a number to us....or a cause....or a sad face you see in commercials...
She is our daughter, a sister, a child of God...
And she needs a family...she deserves one...every child does...
With His help, and yours, we can give that to her.
Jesus gets the Congo piece... He loves her more than anyone, and He has already written her story...

  12. I pray that all comes to fruition for you and your family and Rose has her forever home soon. We "bought" four puzzle pieces. One in the name of each of our children: Meghan, Ryan, and Phoebe and one in the name of our yet unknown child for whom we just submitted our adoption application. We are seeking to adopt a local, special needs child. Many blessings to your family. And, of course, I posted to FB!
