It's the little things...

As I attempt to pass the "waiting" time, I am working hard to find joy in the little things. To make sure I recognize God's blessing each day. Sometimes they are more obvious, and easy to see... like last week... when the hubs won a vacation at work. Pretty easy to find the joy in that :)

Even today, we have been going back and forth with our insurance company, because we need a new roof, and finally today, they gave the thumbs up! So they are covering our roof, the interior damage from the leaks, and even a new roof for our little shed :) I am so thrilled!!! We have lots of other little projects that have to happen this year :( But once they are all done, I think the house will really sparkle! And maybe our neighbors will start speaking to us again! (kidding, sorta)

But then there are days that the blessing aren't so obvious.
The places to find joy don't come easily.
The kids fight all day, and mommy finds herself on the verge of a breakdown... it's those days that I have to be very intentional about leaning in to God. I really have to quiet my mind to hear Him speaking to me. And some days, the really hard ones, I come to Him broken and sad. And He just lets me be.

We did have a great weekend though! My friend's precious daughter turned 1!!! It was such a fun and relaxing party. The big girls played dress up, and the babies played quietly on the floor. One of the party guest happened to bring her 1 year old son, who was African American. To be totally honest, I'm surprised she didn't file a restraining order! I could not leave that kid alone!!! He was sooooo cute!!!
I'm a total C-R-E-E-P-E-R!!!

Yup, I admitted it. I'm the crazy white lady who wants to steal other people's children at Target.

It's really sad.

The rest of the weekend was relaxing! It rained a lot, so it was a great excuse to hang out inside and snuggle :)

Hope you all had a fabulous weekend!!!
